Up for sale is a solid, mechanically sound FIAT 124 Spider with recent maintenances.

This car is titled by the owner of Midwest-Bayless and will be an individual (not dealer) transaction.
This car has a 81K miles and a clean bill of health from Midwest-Bayless.
This was the California version of 124 Spider for 1980 and received Bosch L-Jet fuel injected 2.0L engine that runs great.
It cold and hot starts just as expected with one try. The chassis rides comfortably.
Body and Exterior
The body is desirable, original monochrome "Cherry Red" and is not a color change. The vehicle's overall exterior presentation is good, about 80 points.
This car has been repainted by a previous owner some time ago, and it received a replacement driver side door whose patina is mismatched. It has minor cosmetic rust at a couple of the arches and lower area of the passenger side door, and a ding on the decklid.
This car has no corrosive rust to the unibody. The main structural areas such as front shock towers, rear shock towers, and rear trunk wells look good.
Floorpans are solid and original.
The chassis is solid and accurate enough to warrant the investment of professional repair to the minor cosmetic blemishes shown and repaint for a show level car.
The front air dam, front grille and all front / rear plastic bumper trims are intact. Original glass in all positions.
Engine, Fuel, Ignition, Exhaust and Cooling System
2000cc DOHC engine w/Bosch FI and Marelli electronic ignition
New fuel, pump, filter, high and low pressure injection system supply fuel hoses. OEM Fuel Injection style tank was removed and cleaned.
Timing belt serviced less than 1,000 miles earlier.
Starts at the first turn of the key, every time. Valve stem seals are worn, so the car will give a puff of oil smoke upon start-up after sitting a few days.
The engine bay is clean with original, uncut wiring.
Factory original downpipe and catalytic converter.
New center section muffler with ANSA sport dual tip rear exhaust.
Electricals
All lights and signals work as expected. Headlights converted to H4 LED for superior brightness. All cabin switches, gauges and clock work as expected.
Newer battery, fresh distributor cap, rotor, plugs and wires.
Transmission / Clutch / Driveline
The 5-Spd manual transmission is in excellent condition, recently rebuilt, shifting correctly into all gears with no synchronizer issues, no grinding, reverse works as expected. Clutch has normal travel and feels correct.
Driveshaft has been serviced with new flex joint. Center support and universal joints OK.
Steering / Suspension / Tires / Wheels / Brakes
KYB struts at all four corners.
Steering is tight, and car drives straight. Steering box lash has been adjusted, no slop at center position like most Spiders have.
All wheel bearings are in spec with no hum or play.
Braking system has been recently serviced with brake pads, flex hoses and rotors.
CD-16 "Iron Cross" OEM alloy wheels with center caps wearing like new Hankook 175/70-13 tires.
Interior / Top
This car features original beige interior.
Dashboard has a small center crack, center upper and lower consoles are in good shape with minimal cracking. Wood trims are not weather damaged.
Door cards are matching the seats, in average condition. Doors have manual window lifts and work correctly. Fresh replacement carpet.
Older vinyl convertible top which is faded but untorn. Has some worn edge binding on the driver side, and faded rear window.
Rear Trunk
Uncracked battery cover. Carpet, spare tire and jack.
