This is a complete differential assembly for 1978.5 Fiat 124 Spider cars with 1800cc engines.
It has a 4.3:1 ring and pinion.
This differential is the "late style", introduced in mid 1978. Easily noted by the removable cover at the rear of the unit which exposes the gears to view.
Hard to find!
Structurally identical to those in the 1979-82 Spider 2000 cars, but contains the earlier (lower) 4.3:1 final drive ratio, and requires a 14-tooth speedometer drive in the transmission for correct calibration.
Earlier cars used a "front loader" style of differential.
Differential housing measures 48.25" flange-to-flange, and 53.5" between axle faces.
A complete assembly including axles, flanges, etc.

Fully stripped checked out, pinion and axle bearings inspected/replaced as needed, new axle seals, pinion seal, pinion lash adjusted.
