Starter DOHC Marelli - Short Body (Fiat Pininfarina 124 Spider 1979-82 + 124, 131, Lancia Beta/Scorpion All) - OE NOS

This is a F/I/A/T Factory OE short-body Marelli starter for all DOHC engines.

This is the Marelli equivalent of short-body Bosch starter (PN 4466685).

Perfectly interchangeable to replace the early-style (long body) Marelli starter that came on 1968-82 Fiat 124 Spider, Coupe, 131, Lancia Scorpion and Lancia Beta vehicles except for 79-on Lancia Beta.

Please note that for Lancia applications, the locating dowel for the center bolt is not used.

Short and compact later style OE starter is easier to maneuver during installation.
Much lighter too.

Only 11 lbs vs. 18 lbs for the larger early old-style units!
