Cylinder Head Dowel / Alignment Dowel - 12mm High SOHC (Fiat Bertone X1/9 1981-88 + 1973-80, 128, Yugo) - NEW

This is a cylinder head locating dowel applicable to all 1500 SOHC FIAT engines with 10mm head bolts as fitted to 1981-on Fiat X1/9s.  Approx. 12mm height.

Note: Earlier SOHC engines with 12mm head bolts have shallow recesses in the engine block and require a 10mm high dowel, PN 4440099.

These taller dowels must be shortened using a grinding wheel to 10mm height if using on earlier SOHC engines.

Two required per SOHC engine.

Critical to locating the cylinder head correctly.

If not installed or worn dowels are re-used, the head gasket will fail prematurely.
